The Goldey-Beacom College men’s basketball team continues to roll as the team earned their fourth straight win on Wednesday with a 78-68 victory over the Holy Family University Tigers.
Senior guard Nazim Derry led the team in scoring in the win with 24 points.
Sophomore forward Zayon Marsh would record a double-double in the game by collecting 12 rebounds and scoring 17 points.
Two other Goldey-Beacom players who scored in double digits in the win were senior guard Damani Thomas (17), and sophomore guard Omari Banks (10).
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (16-10), second-chance points (19-11), rebounds (43-31), and assists (19-9).
GBC also bested the Holy Family from the three-point line, with the team shooting 42.9%(12-28) and the Tigers shooting 30.4%(7-23). Goldey-Beacom was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 90.0%(18-20), and Holy Family shot 69.2%(9-13).
