Blue Hens hold a ten-point lead at the end of the first half.
The game started with the University of Delaware jumping out to a 15-7 lead with 11:39 remaining in the first half. Niels Lane saw the basket clearly on this run, as he scored five of the team’s 15 points.
Fast forward to the 4:11 minute mark, where Lane would find the basket once again, as he rocked the net for a made dunk to give the Hens an 11-point advantage (28-17).
Jyáre Davis would score all four of UD’s points for the remaining minutes in the first half to push his team’s edge to 32-22.
UD takes home a 90-71 victory!
Delaware would strike first and often in the early minutes of the second half, as the team went on a 16-6 run to take a 48-28 advantage with 16:03 left in the game. Niels Lane and Jyáre Davis were a hard duo for North Carolina A&T to stop, as they scored 12 of the team’s 16 points.
Fast forward to the 6:21 minute mark, where Lane would continue his big night, as he would rock the rim once again with a dunk to put the Hens up 23 points (77-54).
UD would score 13 more points for the rest of the game, which included two three-pointers from Gerald Drumgoole Jr. to seal a 90-71 victory over the Aggies.
