The Goldey-Beacom College women’s basketball team earned their second win of the season on Tuesday with a dominating 78-46 victory over their in-state rival, the Wilmington University Wildcats.
Sophomore guard Rory Ciszkowski led Goldey-Beacom in scoring in the win with 32 points.
Senior forward Janiya Stevens recorded a double-double in the victory, as she had 12 points and collected 12 rebounds.
Freshman guard Farrah White also scored in double-digits, as she had 12 points.
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (30-22), points off of turnovers (14-11), second-chance points (14-6), fast-break points (7-4), bench points (20-15), rebounds (51-31), assists (22-7), and blocks (4-2).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 50.0%(29-58) and Wilmington shooting 25.9%(15-58). The Lightning also bested the Wildcats from the three-point line, with the team shooting 43.3%(13-30) and Wilmington shooting 15.8%(3-19).
