The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their 11th win of the season on Thursday with a 71-68 victory over the Stony Brook University Seawolves.
Senior forward Jyáre Davis led the team in scoring in the win with 29 points. Davis also recorded a double-double in the victory by collecting 17 rebounds with his 29 points.
Two other Hens players who scored in double-digits were graduate Student guard Gerald Drumgoole Jr. (17), and senior guard Niels Lane (12).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (20-10), fast-break (7-2), assists (14-12), turnovers (7-10), and steals (5-3).
The Blue Hens also bested the SeaWolves from the three-point line, with the team shooting 40.0 %(6-15) and Stony Brook shooting 15.8 % (3-19). UD was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 86.4 %(19-22), and the SeaWolves shot 75.0 % (9-12).
