The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earned their 11th win on Wednesday with an 80-69 victory over the Georgian Court University Lions.
Senior guard Amiri Stewart led the team in scoring in the win with 20 points.
Two other Wilmington players who scored in double digits in the win were Graduate student Caleb Matthews (15), and senior guard Taalib Holloman (16).
Junior center Nalik Veasley was locked on the boards all night, collecting 13 rebounds.
WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included fast-break points (20-5), points in the paint (30-22), points off of turnovers (26-16), turnovers (14-16), assists (20-14), steals (11-6), and blocks (6-0).
Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 50.0%(26-52) and Georgian Court shooting 40.6%(26-64). WilmU also had the advantage at the free-throw line, as the team shot 83.3%(20-24), and the Lions shot 72.7%(8-11).
