Wilmington University trails by five points at the end of the first half.
WilmU would start the game by taking a 5-2 lead with 18:57 left in the opening half.
Twenty-nine seconds later, Felician would respond back by starting on a 14-6 run to grab a 16-11 edge with 12:12 remaining in the first half.
Fast forward to the seven-second mark, The Cats’ Marcus Pierce would hit a jump shot to cut the deficit to three points (46-43).
The Golden Falcons would close the first half by hitting two free throw shots to push their advantage to 48-43.
WilmU takes home a 95-90 victory!
Wilmington would come out with a fire in the early minutes of the second half, as they outscored Felician 10-5 to tie the game at 53 with 14:53 left. Amiri Stewart was commanding the offense on that run, as he scored seven of the team’s 10 points.
Fast forward to the 6:58 minute mark, where the Wildcats’ Caleb Matthews would drain back-to-back three-pointers and a free throw to give his team a 76-67 lead.
Six minutes and 47 seconds later, the Golden Falcons would slice the lead to two points (92-90) when Jay’von Jackson made a three-point shot.
Marcus Pierce would seal a 95-90 win for the Wildcats as he hit a layup and free throw with three seconds left in the game.
