Delaware State trails by one point after one-quarter of play.
The game would start with the Hornets flying off to a 15-7 lead with 3:26 remaining in the opening quarter. Tyshonne Tollie and Denijsha Wilson would be a hard duo for the Bears to stop during this stretch, as they scored 13 of the team’s 15 points.
Seconds later, Morgan State would fight back, as the team went on a 10-1 run to end the first quarter with a 17-16 edge.

Fast forward to the 9:09 minute mark in the second quarter, where Ja’Naiah Johnson would drain a three-pointer to give DSU a 19-17 advantage.
The Bears would outscore Delaware State 11-7 for the rest of the first half to head into halftime with a 28-26 lead.
The game would be tied at 52 at the end of the third quarter.
DSU would come out firing in the early minutes of the second half, as the team outscored Morgan State 18-10 to grab a 44-38 lead with five minutes left in the third quarter. Savannah Brooks was lighting it up from the three-point line during that stretch as she made three.
The Bears would outscore Delaware State 14-8 for the rest of the third to tie the game up at 52.
Delaware State ties it up in the fourth to force overtime.
Fast forward to the 7:10 minute mark, where Ja’Naiah Johnson would hit a layup and free throw to give DSU a 58-54 edge.
Almost a minute later, Morgan State would go on a 9-2 run to take a 63-60 lead with 20 seconds left in the game.
Savannah Brooks would not accept defeat for the Hornets as she would drain a three-pointer with 17 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game up a 63 and force overtime.
The Hornets take home a 73-71 victory!
Delaware State would win the game when Denijsha Wilson made a layup with five seconds left in the overtime to seal a 73-71 victory over the Bears.
