Jevin Muniz scores 31 points in Delaware State’s 78-66 win over Morgan State

The Hornets lead by 12 points at the end of the first half.

The game started with Morgan State jumping off to a 5-2 lead with 17:42 left in the opening half.

Seconds later, DSU would strike back by dashing off on an 11-3 run to grab a 13-8 edge with 12:50 remaining in the first half. Jevin Muniz was in command of the offense during this stretch, as he scored eight of the team’s 13 points.

Delaware State’s advantage wouldn’t last long, as the Bears would outscore them 10-5 in the next minute and 17 seconds to tie the game at 18.

Starting at the 9:23 minute mark, the Hornets would go on a 23-11 run to take a 41-29 lead into halftime. Muniz, Martaz Robinson, and Kyle Johnson were a hard trio to stop during that time, as they scored 21 of the team’s 23 points.

DSU takes home a 78-66 victory!

Delaware State would strike fast in the early minutes of the second half, as the team went on a 23-15 run to push their advantage to 64-44 with 7:44 remaining in the game.  

Jevin Muniz, Deywilk Tavarez, and Martaz Robinson would light up the scoreboard during this stretch, as the trio scored 19 of the team’s 23 points.

DSU would score 14 more points in the second half to seal a 78-66 win over Morgan State.
