The Delaware State University men’s basketball team continues to roll, as the team earned their third straight win on Monday with a 78-66 victory over the Morgan State University Bears.
Sophomore guard Jevin Muniz led the team in scoring in the win with 31 points.
Three other DSU players who scored in double-digits were senior guard Martaz Robinson (19), freshman guard Deywilk Tavarez (11), and graduate student forward Kyle Johnson (11).
Junior forward Wesley Oba was locked on the boards all night, as he collected 14 rebounds.
Delaware State had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included second-chance points (13-6), points off of turnovers (16-10), steals (9-8), bench points (15-3), turnovers (14-16), and rebounds (49-33).
DSU also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 41.8 % (28-67) and Morgan State shooting 38.3(23-60). The Hornets also outshot the Bears at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 75.0% (18-24), and Morgan State shot 66.7%(12-18).
