Goldey-Beacom holds a five-point lead at the end of the first half.

Seconds later, the Lightning would respond by dashing off to a 24-8 run to grab a 27-15 edge with 10:13 remaining in the first half. The Bears had a hard time stopping Damani Thomas, Caleb Bates, and Zakari McQueen during that time, as the trio scored 17 of the team’s 24 points.
Fast forward to the 8:40 minute mark, where Bloomfield’s Izaiah Poole would cap off his team’s 7-0 run by draining a three-pointer to slice the lead to five points (27-22).
Goldey-Beacom would score 17 more points in the first half to hold a five-point lead (44-39) at the end of the first half. Nazim Derry, Bates, and Ayshion Centeno would have the hot touch during that stretch, as the trio scored 13 of the team’s 17 points.

GBC would come out ready to strike in the early minutes of the second half, as the team outscored Bloomfield 20-13 to take a 64-52 advantage with 12:36 left in the game. Mekhi Collins was in command of the offense during this run, as he had eight of the team’s 20 points.
After having a comfortable lead for most of the next six minutes and 25 seconds, Goldey would see the score tighten with the Bears punch back to bring it to a three-point game (77-74) with 6:11 left in the second half.
The Lightning would score 11 more points for the rest of the second half to seal an 88-83 victory over Bloomfield.
