The Delaware State University men’s basketball team earned their eighth win of the season on Saturday with a 55-53 victory over the Coppin State University Eagles.
Senior guard Martaz Robinson led the team in scoring in the game with 13 points.
Delaware State had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (28-26), points off of turnovers (17-10), second-chance points (12-7), fast-break points (20-7), rebounds (30-24), assists (12-11), turnovers (17-18), blocks (2-1), and steals (9-8).
DSU also outshot the Eagles at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 76.5 %(13-17), and Coppin State shot 50.0 %(4-8).
