Wilmington University leads by 19 at the end of the first half.
The game started with the Wildcats dashing out to a 17-4 lead with 13:53 left in the opening half. Taalib Holloman was in command of the offense during this stretch, scoring 12 of the team’s 17 points.
WilmU didn’t miss much on that run, as the team hit seven of the nine shots and made three shots they attempted from the three-point line.
Fast forward to the 6:15 minute mark, where Nalik Veasley hit a jump shot to give Wilmington a 31-20 advantage with 6:15 remaining in the first half.
The Cats would continue to pour on the points for the rest of the first half, as they outscored Holy Family 16-8 to push their edge to 47-28.
Caleb Matthews and Amiri Stewart would give the Tigers defense fits during that time, as the duo scored ten of the team’s 16 points.
WilmU takes home a 92-74 victory!
Fast forward to the 7:20 minute mark in the second half, where Wilmington’s Nalik Veasley would hit a jump shot to give his team a 21-point lead (77-56).
Holy Family couldn’t slow down the Cats for the rest of the second half, as WilmU added 15 more points to their total to seal a dominating 92-74 victory.
