The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earned their eighth win of the season on Wednesday, as they defeated the Holy Family University Tigers 92-74. WilmU has now won six of their last seven games.
Senior guard Taalib Holloman led the team in scoring in the win with 30 points.
Three other Wilmington players who scored in double digits in the win were junior center Nalik Veasley (10), Graduate student Caleb Matthews (11), and senior guard Amiri Stewart (13).
WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included fast-break points (16-9), turnovers (11-13), assists (29-18), rebounds (33-32), and steals (7-6).
Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 59.3%(35-59) and Holy Family shooting 45.0%(27-60). The Wildcats were also the better team at the three-point line in this game, as the team shot 47.6%(10-21), and the Tigers shot 31.6%(6-19).
