Four Wilmington University players score in double-digits in 80-63 victory over Jefferson

The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earned their seventh win of the season on Saturday with an 80-63 victory over the Jefferson University Rams.

Graduate student Caleb Matthews led the team in scoring in the win with 16 points.

Three other Wilmington who scored in double digits in the win were senior guard Amiri Stewart (13), sophomore guard Skip Burton (11), and sophomore forward Kaleb Hedgepeth (12).

WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (29-8), fast-break points (10-2), points in the paint (46-34), points off of turnovers (17-10), turnovers (8-15), steals (8-5), and blocks (8-2).

Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 47.6%(30-63) and Jefferson shooting 39.3%(24-61).
