Robinson, Muniz,& Tavarez combine for 50 points in Delaware State’s 77-73 win over Mount St. Mary’s

The Delaware State University men’s basketball team earned the seventh win of the season on Saturday with a 77-73 victory over the Mount St. Mary’s University Mountaineers.

Senior guard Martaz Robinson led the team in scoring in the game with 20 points.

Two other DSU players who scored in double-digits were sophomore guard Jevin Muniz(18), and freshman guard Deywilk Tavarez (12).

Delaware State had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (40-30), points off of turnovers (16-11), fast-break points (25-16), assists (12-9), turnovers (10-14), and steals (5-4).

DSU also outshot Mount St. Mary’s at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 90.5 %(19-21), and the Mountaineers shot 53.8 %(7-13).
