Goldey-Beacom holds a four-point lead at the end of the first half.

Fourteen seconds later, Georgian Court would respond back by dashing off on an 18-2 to take a five-point (23-18) edge with 8:19 remaining in the first half.
Goldey would go on to outscore the Lions 23-14 to end the opening half with a 41-37 advantage. Damani Thomas would be in command of the offense during this stretch, as he scored 11 of the team’s 23 points.
The Lightning takes home an 84-78 victory!
Goldey-Beacom would come out fast in the early minutes of the second half, as the team went on a 21-8 run to grab a 62-45 edge with 11:06 left in the game. Mekhi Collins and Damani Thomas would be a hard duo to stop during this time, as they scored 14 of the team’s 21 points.
GBC’s defense also stepped up during this stretch, as the unit had five defensive rebounds, four steals, and one block.
Fast forward to the 6:19 minute mark, where the Lions’ Amari Jones would make a layup to cut the lead to seven points (69-62).
The Lightning would add 15 more points to their score for the rest of the game to seal an 84-78 victory over Georgian Court.
