Three Delaware State players score in double-digits in Hornets 105-58 victory over Gwynedd Mercy

Delaware State leads by 21 at the end of the first half.

The game would start with Gwynedd Mercy University running out to a 15-6 lead with 15:18 left in the first half.

Seconds later, DSU would fight back by outscoring the Griffins 27-8 to take a 33-23 advantage with 7:30 left in the opening period. Jevin Muniz, Alston Andrews, and Martaz Robinson saw the basket clearly during this run, as the trio scored 19 of the team’s 27 points.

The Hornets continued to fire on all cylinders after that as the team ended the first by going on a 25-13 run to take a 57-36 lead into halftime. Wesley Oba felt it during that stretch, scoring ten of the team’s 25 points.

DSU takes home a 105-58 victory!

Delaware State would continue to pour on the points in the early minutes of the second half, as the team dashed out on an 11-2 run to extend their lead to 68-38 with 15:41 remaining in the game. Jevin Muniz and Raymond Somerville were a hard duo to stop during that stretch, as the two scored nine of the team’s 11 points.

Fast forward to the 4:35 minute mark, where Ricky Deadwyler III would drain back-to-back three-points to expand the Hornets’ advantage to 97-52.

DSU would add eight more points to their score to seal a 105-58 victory over Gwynedd Mercy University.
