The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their sixth win of the season on Tuesday, as the team pulled an 87-80 upset over the Big East conference member, the Xavier University Musketeers.
Fifth-year guard Jalun Trent led the Hens in scoring in the win with 27 points.
Two other Hens players who scored in double-digits were senior forward Jyáre Davis (19) and sophomore guard Cavan Reilly (17).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (42-32), points off of turnovers (30-14), assists (20-15), turnovers (8-17), and steals (11-6).
The Blue Hens also bested the Xavier from the free-throw line, with the team shooting 82.4 %(14-17) and the Musketeers shooting 72.0 % (18-25).
