Robinson & Muniz combine for 45 points in Delaware State’s 76-69 victory over Chicago State

The Delaware State University men’s basketball team earned their third win of the season on Thursday with a 76-69 over the Chicago State University.

Senior guard Martaz Robinson led the team in scoring in the win with 24 points.

 Three other DSU players who scored in double-digits were Freshman guard Deywilk Tavarez (11), sophomore guard Jevin Muniz (24), and senior forward Alston Andrews (10).

Delaware State had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (38-16), points off of turnovers (24-22), second-chance points (16-10), rebounds (33-21), and assists (12-11).

DSU also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 56.3% (27-48) and Chicago State shooting 35.4%(17-48). The Hornets were also the better team at the three-point line in this game, as the team shot 50.0%(4-8), and the Cougars shot 28.6%(8-28).
