The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earned their third win of the season with a 76-69 victory over the Chestnut Hill College Griffins on Wednesday.
Senior guard Taalib Holloman led the Wildcats in scoring in the win with 16 points.
Two other Wilmington who scored in double digits in the win were sophomore guard Brycen Williams (12), and senior guard Amiri Stewart (14).
WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (38-24), fast-break points (13-2), points in the paint (38-24), points off of turnovers (23-6), turnovers (5-16), assists (16-13), steals (14-1), and blocks (6-5).
Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 45.3%(29-64) and Chestnut Hill shooting 41.4%(24-58). The Wildcats were also the better team at the three-point line in this game, as the team shot 38.9%(7-18), and the Griffins shot 33.3%(9-27).
