The game started with the UD jumping out to a 7-4 lead with 15:10 remaining in the opening half. Jyáre Davis was a key contributor during this stretch, as he had two points, one assist, three rebounds, and one block.
Fast forward to the 5:40 minute mark, where Brown’s Nana Owusu-Anane would score four straight points to give his team a 22-21 advantage with 4:44 left in the first half.
The opening half would end with the Brown Bears Kino Lilly Jr. draining a three point shot to give his team a slim 31-30 edge.
Delaware takes home a 67-59 victory!!
The Blue Hens came out in the early minutes of the second half ready to strike, as the team went on a 11-0 run to grab a 32-31 lead with 18:47 remaining in the game. Gerald Drumgoole Jr. was one of the leaders during that stretch, as he had five points and two defensive rebounds.
Fast forward to the 1:30 minute mark in the second half, where Brown’s Malachi Ndur would hit a lay up to slice the deficit to eight points (64-56).
UD would add three more points to their score to seal a 67-59 victory over the Brown Bears.
