The University of Delaware men’s basketball team continued their unbeaten streak on Friday, winning their fifth straight game of the season with a 67-59 victory over the Brown University Brown Bears.
Senior forward Jyáre Davis led the Blue Hens in scoring with 16 points.
Fifth-year guard Jalun Trent also scored in double-digits, as he had 14 points.
Graduate Student guard Gerald Drumgoole Jr. was locked on the boards in the game, as he collected 12 rebounds.
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (38-16), points off turnovers (16-8), bench points (14-7), assists (10-9), turnovers (9-16), and steals (8-3).
UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 40.3 % (25-62) and Brown shooting 34.9 %(22-62). The Blue Hens also bested the DSU from the free-throw line, with the team shooting 61.9 %(13-21) and the Brown Bears shooting 43.8 % (7-16).
