Blue Hens come back from an 18-point deficit to earn a 29-25 victory over New Hampshire

The University of Delaware’s football team earned their third victory of the season on Saturday by roaring back from an 18-point deficit in the early second quarter to take home a 29-25 victory over the University of New Hampshire Wildcats.

The offensive standouts in the game for Delaware were junior quarterback Ryan O’Connor, senior running back Marcus Yarns, Graduate student wide receiver Jourdan Townsend, and Graduate student wide receiver Chandler Harvin.

O’Connor completed 24 of his 37 passes for 335 yards for three touchdowns in the win.

Yarns rushed for 105 yards on 16 carries with one touchdown in the game. He also had five receptions for 74 yards with one touchdown in the victory.

Townsend had five receptions for 122 yards with one touchdown in the win.

Harvin had two receptions for 20 yards with one touchdown in the victory.

On the defensive side, Graduate student linebacker Jackson Taylor was flying over the field today, as he led the team in tackles with 11. The Blue Hens had one sack in the victory, which came from Taylor (0.5) and Graduate student defensive end Chase McGowan (0.5). Graduate Student defensive back Khalil Dawsey had a big day, as he collected nine tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble.
