Goldey-Beacom score two goals in the first half to secure the win
The first score of the game would come at the 26:50 minute mark, when the Lightning’s Alyssa Ruggieri found the net to give her team a 1-0 lead. Melayna Immediato assisted with Ruggieri’s goal.
Almost ten minutes later, Angela Lee would push the ball through the goal to give Goldey-Beacom a 2-0 lead in the first half. Ruggieri assisted with Lee’s goal.
Goldey outshot Jefferson 7-4 in the first half of this game.
In the second half of this game, the Lightning was outshot by Jefferson 4-2.
Goldey-Beacom’s goalkeeper Noel Talbot had the goal on lockdown as she blocked all four shot attempts at the goal in the second half of this game to seal her team’s 2-0 win.
