Lost 20-14 in OT vs Georgetown

The Delaware State football team suffered a heartbreaking 20-14 overtime loss to Georgetown on Saturday. DSU had a 14-7 at the end of the first half, but the Hoyas scored a touchdown in the third quarter and then sealed it with six in the overtime period.

Offense:

Tylik Bethea went 15 for 24, threw for 151 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Sy’veon Wilkerson had 19 carries for 98 yards, and one touchdown.

Jerrish Halsey had one reception for 14 yards, and a touchdown.

Defense:

Kamari Jackson led the Hornets in tackles with 12.

Isaiah Williams had four tackles and 2.5 sacks.

Ronald Holmes had three tackles and one sack.

Eric Montes had two tackles and .5 sacks.

David Bowman had one tackle and one interception.

DSU Sting Invite

The Hornets Men’s Cross Country placed first at the DSU sting Invite.

Devin Smith finished in first place, Mosa Aboeid finished in fourth place, Jose Rivera-Yetter finished in fifth place, and Ezekiel Dawkins finished in eighth place.

The Hornets Women’s Cross Country placed first at the DSU sting Invite.

Maria Garcia Rabago finished in second place, Jenna Blauser finished in fifth place, Tai Brown finished in seventh place, and Carmen Medina finished in eighth.
