Our 2025-2026 season player review series continues with the Wilmington University men’s basketball team, as the spotlight turns to junior guard Jaiden Guy.
Guy was second on the team in scoring this season, scoring 14.7 points per game.
When WilmU needed a basket, Guy was a reliable target to look for, as he reached double-digits in 24 games. He also posted six games, where he recorded 20 points, and also had one where he reached 30 points.
That 30-point performance came in the first game of the season on November 14th in a 93-73 win over the Dist. Columbia. He made 13 of his 19 shots, drained two of his five attempts from the three-point line, and sank two of his three free throws in the victory.
The Wildcats guard knew how to score, but he also knew how to find his teammates for a bucket, as he was second on the team in assists, with three per game. Guy recorded 23 games where he dished out two or more assists. His season-high in assists was in the December 9th 98-76 win over Goldey-Beacom, where he had eight.
Guy didn’t just have skills on offense; he had talent on the defensive side as well, leading the team in steals with 1.9 per game. He had nine games in the year, where he swiped three or more steals. The Delaware native’s season-high in steals came on December 31 versus Lincoln (PA), where he had six.
The Wildcats junior guard averaged 14.7 points per game, 3.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.9 steals in 28 games.
