The Wilmington University baseball team defeated the Felician University Golden Falcons 10-9 on Sunday to move their record to 19-9 on the season.

Wilmington University trailed by five runs by the middle of the third inning.
The Felician bats were on fire to start this game as the team had seven hits in the first three innings, which turned into six runs that gave the team. All six runs scored came from RBI doubles in the first and third innings. They would hold on to a 6-1 advantage until the bottom of the fourth inning, when the Wildcats started to find their groove on offense.
The Wildcats take a 7-6 lead at the end of the fourth inning.
Junior outfielder/pitcher Brandon Grygo would inch WilmU closer to the lead in the bottom of the third when he scored on a throwing error from the Golden Falcons third baseman.
Wilmington’s bats found a spark in the bottom of the fourth when the team scored five runs on four hits and one error to take a 7-6 lead.
It started with Senior outfielder Cam Trego slamming a three-run homer down the right field to slice the deficit to one (6-5).
Senior infielder Tyler Pirrung tied the game with an RBI single, and junior infielder/pitcher Chase Fleming would push a run home when he grounded out to the shortstop to give his team a 7-6 edge.
WilmU takes home a 10-9 win!
Felician responded by scoring runs in the fifth and sixth innings, including a two-run double, which would give the team a 9-7 advantage.
Wilmington would respond in the seventh, when Junior outfielder D’Angelo Ponce stole third and then scored on an error by the Golden Falcons catcher to put the deficit at one (9-8).
In the ninth inning, with the game on the line, Cam Trego would hit an RBI single to the pitcher to tie the game at one.
Two batters later, with the bases loaded, Junior shortstop/pitcher Garrett Quinn came up to the plate and would push in the game-winning run with a walk-off walk to seal a 10-9 victory over Felician.
Pitching Recap:
Wilmington used seven pitchers in the game, and freshman third baseman/pitcher Ryan Kiendle earned the win, pitching one inning and striking out two batters.
