The Goldey-Beacom women’s soccer team earned its fourth win of the season on Wednesday over the D’Youville University Saints.

The scoreboard stayed silent for a long time in this one, as the first goal came at the 40:21 minute mark, when Sophomore forward Ryley Dixon found the back of the net to give the Lightning a 1-0 edge. Freshman forward Maria Munoz assisted on Dixon’s score.
The Lightning takes home a 2-0 win!
Late ending scores were a thing in this game, as Freshman midfielder Nova Gafvert found the net at the 84:50 mark to seal a 2-0 win for Goldey-Beacom over D’Youville.
Stats and standouts:
The standouts in the game for the Lightning were Ryley Dixon, Maria Munoz, and freshman goalkeeper Malaika Nunziata.
Dixon had five shots, three shots at the goal, and scored one goal in the game.
Munoz had one assist in the win.
Nunziata allowed zero goals and had eight saves in 90 minutes in the win.
