The Wilmington University baseball team is the 2025 CACC Champions after beating the Felician University Golden Falcons 20-3 in the CACC Championship game on Saturday.

Wilmington University leads by five runs at the end of the second inning.
The Wildcats would get on the board first in the game by scoring five runs on five hits and one error to take a 5-0 edge in the bottom of the second inning.
Senior catcher/ first baseman Nick Classie and sophomore shortstop/ pitcher Garrett Quinn each hit an RBI single in the inning.
Not long after, Sophomore outfielder/pitcher Brandon Grygo smoked a two-run RBI single to right field. During this time, Quinn would score off the throw.
WilmU leads by 11 at the end of the sixth inning.
Felican would get on the board for the first time in the fourth inning by scoring two runs on one hit to cut the deficit to 5-2.
In the bottom of the inning, Senior outfielder/ pitcher Shawn Edevane hit a two-run RBI single to right center to give his team a 7-2 advantage.
Redshirt junior outfielder Cam Trego gave the Cats a 9-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth by slugging a two-run homer out of the park.
Wilmington would expand its edge to 13-2 in the bottom of the sixth by scoring four runs on four hits and one error.
Freshman infielder Zach Rosenzweig and senior outfielder Kory Pritchard each recorded an RBI single in the inning.
Pritchard and Graduate student infielder Josearmando Diaz each scored on an error in the inning.
The Wildcats become CACC Champions with a 20-3 win!
WilmU’s lead ballooned to 20-2 in the seventh inning, when the team scored seven runs on seven hits.
Shawn Edevane started the scoring in the inning by hitting an RBI double to right field.
Sophomore pitcher/first baseman Chase Fleming came up to the plate next and slapped a two-run triple to right field.
Graduate student first baseman JJ Killen, Sophomore shortstop/pitcher Justin Hernandez, and sophomore outfielder D’Angelo Ponce each recorded an RBI single in the inning.
Senior outfielder Sean Glatts capped off the inning by scoring on a wild pitch to push the lead to 20-2.
Felician scored a run in the ninth inning, but the Wildcats still took home a dominating 20-3 victory.
Pitching Recap:
Wilmington University used three pitchers in the game, including senior pitcher Dom Marotta, who pitched 4.1 innings, gave up one hit, struck out one batter, and earned the win.
