Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the Goldey-Beacom College men’s basketball team as the spotlight turns to junior forward Zayon Marsh.
Marsh was third on the team in scoring with 11.3 points per game this season.
The Lightning forward found the basket often this season, recording double-digits in points in 16 games. He also had two games where he posted over 20 points.
The New Jersey native’s game-high in points this season came on February 1st versus Caldwell, where he scored 23 points. He made seven of his 10 shots and drained nine of his 10 free throws.
Scoring isn’t the only elite skill the GBC junior possesses, as he came down with rebounds consistently, recording two double-doubles on the season. He also had four games this year, recording double-digits in rebounds.
Marsh was fierce on the boards this season for his team, landing in second in rebounds per game with 6.6.
The Goldey-Beacom forward knew how to dish the ball out to his teammates for a score, leading the team in assists per game with 2.5.
He also made his presence known on the defensive side being second on the team in steals and second in blocks. The Lightning junior had 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks per game this year.
Marsh averaged 11.3 points per game, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 29 games.
