Our in-season look series continues with Delaware Tech’s women’s basketball freshman guard Thailys Torres, who leads the team in scoring this year.
When the team needed a bucket this season, Torres was the one they looked to. She has scored over 20 points in three games and eight games with a point total in the teens.
One of her highlight games of the season came on January 21st versus Mercer, where the Delaware Tech forward scored a career-high 26 points. Torres had a hot hand during this matchup, hitting ten of her 16 shots. She also drained five of her seven shots from the three-point line in this game.

Another highlight game for Torres came on November 19th versus Raritan Valley, where she scored 24 points.
The freshman guard has averaged 13.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 17 games this season.
