The University of Delaware’s football team moved to 7-1 on the season as they took down the University at Albany Great Danes 28-14 on Saturday.
The offensive standouts in the game for Delaware were sophomore quarterback Nick Minicucci, senior running back Marcus Yarns, and sophomore wideout Ja’Carree Kelly.
Minicucci completed 18 of his 27 passes for 173 yards for three touchdowns in the win.
Yarns rushed for 127 yards on 13 carries with one touchdown in the game. He also had two receptions for 43 yards with two touchdowns in the victory.
Kelly had two receptions for 30 yards with one touchdown in the win.
On the defensive side, sophomore linebacker Gavin Moul led the team in tackles in the win with ten. The Blue Hens had four sacks in the game, which came from linebacker Ty Davis (1), senior linebacker Marje Mulumba (1.5), junior defensive lineman Melkart Abou-Jaoude (0.5), and senior defensive lineman Nick Karika (1). Sophomore defensive back KT Seay also had an interception in the game.
