The Wilmington University women’s basketball team earned their second victory of the season on Wednesday with a 62-58 win over the Georgian Court University Lions.
Senior guard Amber Washington led the team in scoring in the win with 21 points.
Junior guard/forward Daja Claiborne recorded a double-double in the victory, as she collected ten rebounds with her 12 points.
Two other Wilmington players who scored in double digits in the win were junior forward Aniyah Bond (12), and Senior guard Trinity Brittingham (15).
WilmU had the advantage in blocks with the team having three and Georgian Court getting two.
Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 38.8%(19-49) and Georgian Court shooting 35.0%(21-60). The Wildcats were also the better team at the three-point line in this game, as the team shot 35.3%(6-17), and the Lions shot 15.4%(2-13).WilmU also had the advantage at the free-throw line, as the team shot 69.2%(18-26), and the Georgian Court shot 50.0%(14-28).
