The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earned their second win of the season on Wednesday by defeating the Molloy University Lions 83-67.
Senior guard Taalib Holloman led the Wildcats in scoring in the win with 18 points.
Two other Wilmington who scored in double digits in the win were sophomore guard Brycen Williams (14), and sophomore forward Kaleb Hedgepeth (11).
Junior center Nalik Veasley was locked on the boards all night, as he collected 15 rebounds.
WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (31-22), fast-break points (14-6), points in the paints (32-22), second chance points (9-8), points off of turnovers (28-17), turnovers (15-20), assists (22-11), rebounds (38-37), steals (10-9), and blocks (7-2).
Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 46.9%(30-64) and Molloy shooting 38.3%(23-60). The Wildcats were also the better team at the three-point line in this game, as the team shot 34.3%(12-35), and the Lions shot 30.8% (8-26).
